Login Page Wording Is Out of Date Since 2020 and It's Unintentionally Misleading
The login page currently says: "Digital loyalty platform based on Apple Wallet and Google Pay" We can't change that from our dashboard as it's hard coded in by BM. WHY SHOULD IT BE CHANGED? 'Google Pay' took over 'Google Wallet' back in 2018, but in 2020 Google reverted to having a separate branding for storage of cards and passes, so they remarketed that separation under their old Google Wallet brand once more. Much like Apple has 'Apple Pay' and 'Apple Wallet', Google now has 'Google Pay' and 'Google Wallet'. WHAT GOOGLE HAS TO SAY ABOUT THIS Google Pay and Google Wallet are not the same; Google Wallet is the app you use to store digital items like payment cards, passes, and tickets, while Google Pay is the service that uses these stored items for contactless and online payments. Historically, Google Pay was a standalone app that has been phased out and replaced in many regions by the more comprehensive Google Wallet app, which now handles both storing digital items and enabling payments. What Google Wallet does: Stores Digital Items: It's your digital wallet for storing payment cards, loyalty cards, transit passes, event tickets, digital IDs, and more. Enables Payments: It provides the functionality to make contactless payments at stores and online payments where Google Pay is accepted. The historical relationship between the two: 2018: Google merged the original Google Wallet with Android Pay into a single app called Google Pay. 2020 onwards: Google began to transition away from the standalone Google Pay app and back towards the Google Wallet brand to consolidate its offerings. Today: The Google Wallet app is now the primary way to manage and use your digital cards and passes, replacing the functions of the standalone Google Pay app in many regions. In essence: Think of Google Wallet as your physical wallet and bag for carrying things. You put your cards, tickets, and other items in it. Then, when you want to pay or access something, you use the Google Pay service (often accessed through the Google Wallet app) to tap or complete the transaction.

Integrated Payment and Gift Card Gifting Functionality
We propose the development of a new feature aimed at streamlining the process of purchasing and gifting digital gift cards through our platform. This enhancement involves the implementation of a form that not only facilitates the secure taking of payments but also enables customers to designate gift cards as gifts directly from the purchase interface. Key components of this feature request include: Secure Payment Processing: Incorporate a form within our existing system that allows for the safe and efficient processing of payments when purchasing gift cards. This should include support for various payment methods (Apple Pay, Google Pay and Stripe Cards) Gift Card Gifting Option: Provide an option within the payment form for purchasers to indicate that the gift card is a gift. This should trigger additional fields where the buyer can enter the recipient's information, including name and email address, and optionally, a personal message. Automated Gift Card Delivery: Upon successful payment, the system should automatically generate and send the digital gift card to the recipient's email address provided by the purchaser. The email should include the gift card code, the sender's personal message (if provided), and instructions on how to use the gift card. Notification to the Purchaser: After the gift card is sent to the recipient, the purchaser should receive a confirmation email notifying them that their gift has been delivered, along with the details of the transaction for their records. Ease of Use and Accessibility: Ensure that the entire process, from payment to gifting, is user-friendly and accessible across all devices, thereby enhancing the customer experience and encouraging the gifting of gift cards. The implementation of this feature aims to expand our service offering, making it more convenient for users to purchase and gift digital gift cards, thereby driving sales and enhancing customer engagement with our platform.
