This goes hand in hand with the privacy feature request as article 21.2 of GDPR states that "Where personal data are processed for direct marketing purposes, the data subject shall have the right to object at any time to processing of personal data concerning him or her for such marketing, which includes profiling to the extent that it is related to such direct marketing."
It means that a customer, even if he agrees to receive marketing communications, has the right to object to be profiled by us.
In our case profiling = RFM segmentation.
So i can give you consent to receive marketing communications but you can't send me RFM communications if i say so.
If a business sends general promotions to all customer base problem is solved.
If a business sends segmented messages we need a way to add that customer choice in the customer profile so that when that choice is added, no segments will appear under the customer profile who decided to object to be profiled.
I know it's a pain in the ass, nobody wants to deal with this but i assure you since nobody deals with this, the fact that you offer a platform that's compliant it's a business advantage.
