This is still my clients #1 feature request after 2 years. It is also the first thing new clients ask about straight after demos.
My clients find it tedious to scan the card twice.
Because once the card is scanned, they redeem points, it defaults to the scanner/search customers screen. So they re-scan it and add points. It leaves the customers confused though, because they think the transaction is over and puts their phone back in the pocket.
Why?
My clients wants to keep the customers engaged, so all of my clients has the policy of allowing customers to redeem and add points on the same transaction. We tested both and the results of every customer leaving with an incentive to come back, works as is they are leaving with a gift card. Happy customers returning within the expiration window.
However as described, the task of scanning the card twice is tedious and leads to confusion. This is, without a doubt the number 1 thing that slows down my clients transactions in store.
How?
Maybe it's possible to add the setting "✅ Redemption and accrual on same transaction" on the scanner app or on the card template.
