Need of “Unsubscribe link” option to be compliant with CANSPAM act of US

We need to add an unsubscribe link as a merge field when creating a mailing (email) and add to a "do not contact" segment anyone who click the unsubscribe link.
Any thing that can help put a contact as do not disturb like it’s done in GHL can help us from getting marked as spam, if the email is not desired by the customer.

Agreed, now that we have the consent check box this would be the next logical step towards making boomerang compliant.
Should also have something for SMS of this nature to detect stop words while we're at it. And also a DND or unsubscribe status mechanism for the contacts themselves so we can see the status and also manual unsubscribe.
There may be a win in this also for encouraging people remain subscribed, where we could have the option of unenrolling a person from the reward program altogether if they unsubscribe from marketing associate to the card or account (this could also help make it clear that the unsubscribe status could be per card so that they could unsubscribe from one campaign but still be enrolled to others).

Daniel i'm not sure about unenrolling a person from the reward program if they unsubscribe. I agree the unsubscribe status should per card.

C'mon folks sending emails without the unsubscribe link is spam!

Also, very important, since those are plain text messages the unsubscribe link could end up being veeeeeery long so please consider shortening the link like you do for takecards link. For example: optout.email/[CustomerEmailAddress] (BTW optout dot email is an available domain).

and BTW to be super clear, the unsubscribe link has to work regardless of the SMTP service chosen.
