I would like to request an improvement to the Rewards Card transaction process.
Here is a common situation:
A customer has 100 points, which can be redeemed for a $5 discount. The customer places a $25 order and uses the 100 points, bringing the amount paid down to $20.
Currently, the cashier must scan the customer’s card twice:
A first scan to redeem the 100 points and apply the $5 discount.
A second scan to add the points earned on the remaining $20 paid.
This process significantly slows down service, especially for businesses with a high volume of customers.
Would it be possible to add a feature allowing the cashier to redeem a reward and add points based on the remaining amount paid within the same transaction and with a single scan?
Ideally, the cashier could enter the original purchase amount, apply the selected reward, and the system would automatically calculate and award points based on the final amount paid.
For example:
Original purchase: $25
Reward redeemed: $5 discount
Final amount paid: $20
Points automatically added: 20 points
This would make the checkout process faster, reduce cashier errors, and provide a much smoother experience for both businesses and customers.
