Continuous Scanner / Auto-Search Mode for Scanner App
It would be extremely helpful to have a Continuous Scan / Auto-Search Mode in the Scanner App.
The idea is simple:
* When the Scanner App is opened, the search field is automatically active and ready to receive a barcode/QR scan.
* After completing a customer transaction, the app automatically returns to the search field and is immediately ready for the next customer.
* The employee would not need to manually tap the Search button or search field before every scan.
This would make the workflow much faster for businesses processing many customers, especially those using external barcode scanners instead of the tablet/phone camera.
For example:
Scan Customer → Complete Transaction → Automatically Ready for Next Scan → Scan Next Customer → Repeat
This could significantly improve the speed and efficiency of the Scanner App in busy businesses.
It would be great if this could be added as an optional setting, such as:
“Continuous Scanning Mode”
ON / OFF
I believe this would be a valuable feature for many businesses using the Scanner App, particularly those with high customer volume or external barcode scanners.
